Using the YouTube Data API combined with the excellent Slick carousel, I whipped up an Adobe CQ component (for version 5.6.1) which allows the user to specify a YouTube playlist and have the results displayed as a scrollable list, with lazy loading and options for auto scrolling, speed and delay.
Two great tools for quickly and easily testing the performance of your application, CQ5 in my case, are Apache JMeter and VisualVM. I was able to start monitoring very quickly… if only fixing the actual performance issues was this easy.
I created an iPhone app using Phonegap and jQuery mobile. A budget tracker and spending log. It has been downloaded a few thousand times so far.
My wife Frances and I have launched an ecommerce site, we used the excellent hosted solution provided by Shopify, for which I created a custom template with new images and CSS.
